Wrapped, Stacked & Layered Challange

I'm participating in the "Wrapped, Stacked & Layered Challenge" hosted by Tracy Statler over at MakeBraceletsBlog.  The trend is everywhere - people are wearing a mix of colorful bracelets stacked on their arms -- the more the merrier.  I personally love the eclectic bohemian look. It's great with long maxi dresses and colorful jeans; just a laid back uncomplicated style.

So the challenge was to create and show your own collection. My collection consists of bracelets I've made and a few I've purchased. 

All of the bracelets on top row were made by me with the exception of the sterling "Elephant Parade" bracelet.  The bottom are mine except for (starting on the left) the first one, it is from WearLove BeverlyHills, the silver link charm bracelet with a World Peace charm from Fossil and the last bracelet is from The Gap.

So....

Just about 48 hours ago, I was bragging about the beautiful weather we have here in Southern Arizona and how we went out for a walk and took pictures of the blooming wild flowers...blah blah blah.  Well today it's 51 degrees and raining!

Spring Is In the Air?

I live in Arizona and we pretty much have two seasons - warm and OMG it's freakishly hot! Today was warm and b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l, so we decided to take advantage and practice taking some photos.

I love this time of year and the vibrant colors of the wild flowers in full bloom

Originally this image was sent in an email Lucky Jeans a few years ago! It still makes me laugh. 

My Inspiration

I'll be the first to admit it; I am not good at putting colors together.  So I take my inspiration where I can get it.  In this case from the flyer from Express that I received in the mail.  I love the vibrant electric blue against the yellow/green color. 

I really like the way my friendship bracelet came together with these colors!

Silver & Leather 3 Row Bracelet

I love bracelets!  My problem is I have really skinny wrists; 5.75 inches to be exact. So I've learn through trial and error and some jewelry classes to make my own. 

Of all the other pieces of jewerly that I've made this is my favorite. It's made from sterling silver faceted cubed beads and weaved on three strands of black leather. I really like the weight and the width of this piece.

I have lots of ideas for more of these bracelets using different colors and different styles of beads that I'll keep posting. 

Casual Elegance

I am a firm believer of asking for what you want.  I don't always do it, but I'm feeling courageous today, so here goes.  I want this to be my living room.
